The Bridge Theatre ( Teatro Latino) as theatre group is much interested in show “Women in the verge “as many time as we can for several reasons, probably the two most important reasons are: first it entertain and second it is useful. We can discuss about any of those issues show in each of the monologues, we can help to create and develop awareness.
The Bridge Teatro Latino is dedicated to bringing Latin American works to Australian stages.

JAIME WILSON RAMIREZ
Has worked as an actor, drama teacher and theatre director for more than 40 years in Chile as well as Australia. As an actor he performed in important theatre productions in Chile for example the first production of “Hechos Consumados” (Finished form the Start) by Juan Radrigan produced by the Teatro Popular El Telon. In Australia he has directed several plays and theatre groups, and teaches Drama in High Schools. Jaime has travelled through South America researching how the theatre is produced in different Latin American countries. The Bridge, Teatro Latino is the result of years of experience in Australia. The aim of this enterprise is to establish a Theatre which represent the view and the spirit of Latin American people for a big and diverse audience

MARIA P. AFANADOR
Colombian actress, who studied Performing Arts in 2008 at the “Charlot Academy”, continued at “The National Theatre House” in Bogota, Colombia. Graduated as an actress in 2012. She has worked as an actress in plays such as “44 Minutes to Recover Love”, “The Trojan Women”, “The Real Inspector Hound” among others. Since, she has continued training with several professors. She also worked in TV programs as “Also Mom” (Telest), “Popland” (MTv), “Departed” (Caracol), and short films like “Belle & Sebastian”, “Heads & Tails”, “The Street” and “Victoria Klaus” among others. As for her recent work, before landing in Melbourne, she was part of “The Beauty and the Beast” at the National Theatre. In Australia, she performed in May of 2014, with the Spanish Theatre Company presenting “Erotic Alleluia”, an adaptation of the play by Federico García Lorca. She is passionate about theatre and films, and is keen to act around the globe for the rest of her life.

SAMANTHA URQUIJO-GARCIA
Colombian Emmy Award Nominee Film &TV Producer. As an actress she’s trained in Contemporary Theatre and Improvisation Acting Techniques, Samantha was part of the Performing Arts Company at Javeriana University in Bogota. She’s had the opportunity to perform in various productions on stage and short films. She is now part of The Bridge Teatro Latino in Melbourne. Samantha proudly represents her roots and believes that Latin American craft contributes and diversifies the Australian cultural offer

SERENA DEL PETRE
Serena has been always fascinated by art, beginning with ballet as a little girl. Eventually, her true passion for acting transported her to Naples at nineteen years of age so she decided to finish the University as soon as possible. She subsequently moved to Barcelona in order to study performing arts at “La Casona” Academy where she discovered her other passion: singing. There, she took baby steps in video clips, theatre, musicals and television but made wider, consecutive strides when she moved to Rome to experiment with new genres such as the ‘commedia dell'arte’.
